Wanna sound like T-Pain?

Do you actually want to sound like T-Pain? In other words, you want to make your voice sound awesome even if you cannot sing at all? No problem by using the technologies of the 21st century! First of all just convince yourself and watch the following video. I really hate the guy who is in it, but he shows how Auto-Tune can work, if you use it the right way. After this little demonstration I will explain everything more detailed.

I will explain how you can autotune your voice just like for example T-Pain, Cher or Daft Punk. All you need is a VST you can autotune things with. For instance you could buy Antare Auto-Tune or you can simply use G-Snap, which is for free. If you want to purchase Antares software, you can find further instructions on this webpage! Otherwise you download G-Snap, install it and integrate it in Cubase, Fruity Loops, Adobe Auditon or whatever you use.
To get the T-Pain Voice Effect you need to set up G-Snap like this:

Key - C
Scale - Major

Retune - 0
Tracking - 75

Rate - 0.1
Variation - 0
Onset Delay - 0
Onset Rate - 0
Pitch - 0
Amplitude - 30
Formant - 100

Afterwards YOU sound like T-Pain!

It is another possibility to use a Talkbox for manipulating your voice. You would have to buy or to tinker one. On the other hand you have to play the notes on a keyboard which is connected to your computer. The following video shows you how a Talkbox sounds like:
